July is a special month in South Africa. It is a time to reflect on the enduring legacy of Nelson Mandela and his unwavering commitment to justice, dignity, and community upliftment.
Mandela Day, commemorated each year on the 18th of July, calls on all of us to dedicate 67 minutes of service in honour of his 67 years of activism.
This year, FoodForward SA invites you to celebrate Tata Madiba’s legacy by participating in our Mandela Day Packing Event. Join us in the fight against food insecurity and malnutrition and help bring hope to vulnerable communities across the country.
Together, let’s turn 67 minutes into lasting impact.

The Spirit of Giving Back
Mandela’s legacy is deeply rooted in the spirit of Ubuntu – the belief in a universal bond of sharing that connects all humanity. We would like to give a shout-out to the staff from Capitec, RGA, Eaton Business School, and McCain for showing up to volunteer at our Warehouses in Cape Town and Johannesburg – we appreciate your support and generosity!
