Creating lasting change takes more than a one-off contribution. It takes consistency, shared purpose, and a commitment to strengthening communities over time.
Capital PropFund, also known as Fortress Real Estate Investments, exemplifies this approach. Through its sponsorship of 32 Beneficiary Organisations across Gauteng, the Western Cape, North West, the Free State, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga, the partnership helps provide access to nutritious food for approximately 5,000 people every day through FoodForward SA’s Beneficiary Organisation network.
This partnership is about more than food. By investing in community organisations that are already deeply rooted in the areas they serve, Capital PropFund is helping strengthen local organisations and the essential services they provide.
Through FoodForward SA’s Beneficiary Organisation Sponsorship Programme, these organisations receive a consistent monthly supply of nutritious food, enabling them to direct more of their own resources towards supporting children, families, older persons and other vulnerable members of their communities.
It is a practical, sustainable model that creates lasting impact, strengthening local organisations while helping ensure that nutritious food reaches the people who need it most.
As Jodie Ellinor Dreyer, Head of Corporate Social Investment, explains:
“Collaborating with FoodForward SA aligns with our commitment to meaningful social impact. FoodForward SA’s work is instrumental in addressing food insecurity across South Africa.”
We are grateful for Capital PropFund’s ongoing partnership and their commitment to creating meaningful, lasting impact. Partnerships like these demonstrate how collaboration can strengthen communities and build a more food secure South Africa.
