July is a powerful time in South Africa, as we honour the legacy of Nelson Mandela and the values he stood for: dignity, equality, and collective action.

In true Madiba spirit, FoodForward SA is bringing people together a day early, hosting our Mandela Day Packing Events on Friday, 17 July 2026, in Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban.

This is more than an event; it’s a moment of Ubuntu in action. Every year, individuals, teams, and communities show up, roll up their sleeves, and give back in a way that’s practical, energising, and deeply meaningful. Your 67 minutes become part of something bigger, helping us tackle food insecurity and reach those who need it most.

Last year, that collective energy packed an incredible 200 tons of food, providing over 880,000 meals across our network of Beneficiary Organisations. This year, we’re ready to go even further.
