In an inspiring show of global unity and purpose, PepsiCo employees have gone beyond their usual roles to support the fight against hunger through the company’s Move for Good campaign.
This six-week global step challenge, powered by the PepsiCo Foundation, has not only brought people together but also resulted in the donation of an incredible 4 million meals for vulnerable communities in South Africa.
Partnering with FoodForward South Africa, this contribution provides critical assistance to a country facing significant food insecurity challenges.

During a special packing event at FoodForward SA’s Cape Town warehouse, held to commemorate World Food Day and celebrate the successful conclusion of the Move for Good challenge, the PepsiCo Foundation team donated R1,855,508 ($105,000 USD).
This generous contribution highlights the impactful collaboration between companies and communities in tackling critical issues.

This year, PepsiCo employees exceeded a collective target of 8 billion steps, reaching an impressive 9 billion steps globally. For each step taken, employees contributed to the overall donation, with every bit of physical activity counting towards a direct impact on hunger relief.
This partnership between PepsiCo Foundation and FoodForward SA is particularly vital because it not only provides food but also addresses systemic food insecurity
